要学会听懂考官问题

　　英语中的问题一般分为两种形式：close-ended questions 和 open-ended questions

　　前者只需要用一、两个词作答，而后者则需要进一步的解释和说明。一般来说面试当中，为了避免谈话陷入沉闷单调的气氛当中，考官一般是要将这两种问题有机地结合起来。考生要准确把握对方所问问题的性质，给予其想要的回答，从而避免了对于只需要简短回答的问题啰嗦个没完，对于需要进一步阐释的问题却回答得不够。两种情况都会给考官留下不好的印象。

　　一般来说两种问题的引导词有比较明显的不同，请大家注意掌握：

　　Close-ended Open-ended Both

　　Are…?

　　Do…?

　　Who…?

　　When…?

　　Where…?

　　Which…? How…?

　　Why…?

　　In what way…?

　　Tell me about… What…?

　　对于open-ended questions,在组织答案时，最好先用一句话或者一个短语将你要说的主要意思总结一下，这样不仅可以再拖延一点时间，而且也有助于对方听清楚你的答案，从而会比较容易留下思路清晰的好印象。

　　e.g. Interviewer: Why do you want to study for MBA?

　　Candidate: That’s a rather difficult question. There are two main reasons, I suppose.

　　如果考官对你的回答不甚满意，你也许会听到这样的问题：

　　I’d like to know some more about…

　　Could you tell me a bit more bout…?

　　Sorry to press you, but could you tell me…?

　　Sorry, I don’t quite understand, could you tell me …?

　　I didn’t quite follow what you said about…

　　Meaning?

　　For example?

　　Then you?

　　Therefore?

　　Which means?

　　So then?
