    handful n.一把, 少数
    When the employer arrived, the secretary handed him a handful of letters.

    hire vt.租用；雇用
    同义辩析：hire let rent lease
    都含“租用”或“出租”的意思。
    hire 有“雇”、“短期租借”的意思, 如:
    hire servants雇佣人。
    hire a hall for an evening
    租礼堂用一晚上。
    let指“出租(房屋、地产等)”, 如:
    a house to let出租的房屋。
    rent指“较长期地租用或租出(房屋、土地等)”, 如:
    rent a house租房子。
    lease指“按租期、 租金、 租约租赁(房屋、土地等)”, 如:

    vt.堆, 堆起（与up, together连用）
    A heap of old clothes was lying in the corner.

    (lobby n. n.大厅, 休息室, <美>游说议员者)

    honor n.光荣，荣誉
    vt.给予荣誉；尊敬；承兑(承认并如期付款)
